Thank you city

There has always been a quiet connection between Hercules Middle/High School and the city of Hercules. Students would take part in events like the Cultural Fair or the Fourth of July parade. Citizens would hold clean-up days on the campus and some clubs have been working in the Hercules community since the school’s start. Even the recent construction has been provided by developer fees.

Now the city’s payment for baseball and softball field lights, as well as the maintenance, is a bolder statement of the steadily improving relationship between the two institutions. The improved reputation and stronger academic performance of HMHS students demonstrate how the campus is moving in a proper direction. Not only does the school benefit, but it allows the city to make use of the grounds year-round.

This may be the introduction of a new era of cooperation with the city and the West Contra Costa Unified School District. By forming a coalition, they can work towards making HMHS the hub of activities and a top-notch educational facility in Contra Costa County. The city approves of the progress this school has made. Hopefully, it will demonstrate its support by presenting additional future opportunities.

The Titan Template staff would just like to say “Thank you, Hercules.”
